If you’re just getting started using a self-hosted WordPress website to advertise your business or promote your wares, there are lots of good online resources that can provide ideas, tips and solutions to problems that crop up.

One of my favorite online resources is Lorelle on WordPress. Lorelle has a book out and blogs regularly, providing tips to bloggers who use the WordPress platform. Whenever you have a problem with an element of your blog, from the masthead to the footer, you can usually find the solution, or at least get a good start, browsing Lorelle’s categories. If you just want some inspiration, Lorelle has that in spades too.
